Earlier this year I went out to work with Aretha Franklin. I did 4 dates with her. The first was in Tunica Ms. @ the Grand Casino. It was very exciting to work with "Queen of Soul". We went on to San Antonio, Austin & Grand Prarie Tx. All the shows were sold-out. This was an experience I will charish throughout my career.

We are proud to bring forth our newest endevor, A new video from the CD entitled, "I Tell You Yes" . The video is of the title cut "I Tell You Yes". We are excited to bring to you this blessing God has provided us with. The CD has been a blessing to many so far, and hope that this visual project will take you in to another worship experience. The video also features newcomer vocalist & my writing partner, Ceesha E. Wilson who delivers a heart warming & worship delivery. This is the 3rd year of the Music City's festival & it was obsolutly fantastic! Again hosted by sax great, Kirk Whalum. It's an outdoor on the riverfront festival that brings U great food, great fellowship, & of course, "GREAT MUSIC"!!!
This year featured, David Sanborn, Wayman Tisdale, of course Kirk Whalum,/Kevin Whalum, Take 6, & Robert Cray just to name a few. God shined on us with great weather, so it was a wonderful weekend going into the labor day holiday. Kirk promises that next years festival is going to be "bigger & better" so we look forward to the 2007's Music City's Jazz, Blues, & Heritage Festival, Nashville Tn.

We are excited to inform you our viewers & fans to be on the lookout for the new video from the CD "I Tell You Yes" the title song, I Tell You Yes to air soon. It's in the final editing stage to be released. We will keep you up to date as to when it will be released.

Melvin Williams of the famed Williams Brothers stepped out on his own once again with a a new solo project entitled, "True Love"-"Love So True"!!!
This project was recorded last week in Jackson Ms. in the studio and live for video. It was such a pleasure and honor to be a part of this great event. Musically it featured some great songs such as the title cut, True Love, and several other new pieces, along with some cover tune classics such as "Keep on Pushin" by the Impressions, "To Shy to Say" by Stevie Wonder and several other classics!!!
The guest artist list will include, Kirk Whalum, Lil IRoc, Gerald Levert, just to mention a few. The famed musician lineup includes, Eric Brice, Spanky Alford on Guitars, Joel Smith on Bass & Drums, Myself on Organ, and Stan Jones on Drums. This project is bouned to touch the Lover in you, stir up the dance in you, and touch music lover in you. We will keep you informed as to it's release date.

Celebrating his wife's 50th birthday in Dallas Tx. this past weekend. A party to end all parties. Guest from all walks!!!Starting with Rev. Jesse Jackson, fitness expert,Donna Richardson-Joiner, LL'Cool'J and many others. Kirk Whalum's Band provided the entertainment!!!

This was the most exciting adventure one could ever experience. Traveling the Pacific Ocean with Bishop T.D.Jakes for 7 days. The privilege to behold the awesom beauty of God's creations at sea, the pleasure to sit among the great minds of Rev.Floyd Flake, Dr.Miles Monroe,& Bishop T.D.Jakes, the entertaining talents of Kirk Whalum, Lelah Hathaway, Tommy Davidson,etc: And the oppotunity to meet L.L"Cool"J!!! Alaska is full of soo much history & beauty, it's difficult to put it all into words. But take my word for it, it was an experience I will never forget. Thank You Kirk for this oppotunity. God continue to shine on & through you!!!

This past weekend was no exception for fun and work with Kirk Whalum. We performed at the Lewis & Clark Landing(Riverfront Jazz Festival) in Omaha,NB. Several other blues & jazz artist graced the stage. One in particular was Kevin Eubanks & band from the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Such a pleasure to meet him. Then moving on to Dallas,Tx. to perform at the Oasis Jazz Stage on Market Street. It featured jass saxophonist, Tom Braxton and his band. Of course, Kirk was the headliner. Our regular keyboardist & bassist, Michael Logan & Michael Manson was not with us, but we were honored by Takana Myiamoto from Atlanta on keys and Rodney Jordan from Memphis on bass who did an exceptional job filling in.

The event was the annual outdoor jazz festival sponsered by V98.7 fm smooth jazz station. It was a 3 day event started on Friday the 24th and ended on Sunday the 26th. Many jazz greats graced the stage throughout the weekend festival including Kirk Whalum. Soo many artist I want begin naming them all. It was the place to be if you were in the Detroit area this past weekend.

We were in Jackson, Ms. last week in the studio working on an up coming project which will spotlight, Henry Green of the Williams Bros. The project is gonna feature various artist. The fun part of doing this was reuniting with keyboardist, Derrick Lee, drummer, Terry Baker, and bassist,Simeon Baker. The first time in about a year or so that we colaborated on a set together. Always great fun when we come together for a musical experience. Not to mention the hilarious fellowship we share!!! "I Love You Guys " Thanks to you Doug Williams, for bringing (The "A" Team) together again.

The show with Kirk Whalum in Oklahoma City this past weekend was really cool. From performing on a firey decorative organ,(see photo gallery): to Steve Harvey as the host of the show, it was great being able to share the stage with such an artist!!! He is "hilarius"!!! It was a great crowd that nearly filled the Ford Center Arena. Kirk's perfomance was awesome as usual, and was recieved extremely well!!!
